Our New Obsession – ferm LIVING

Wallpaper, wall stickers, graphic pillows, oh my!  Our love for everything ferm LIVING runs deep, and each time we visit their site we find a little more that we love about this company.

Not only is their wallpaper eye-catchingly beautiful with patterns like Branch, Squares, and Voila, but they also have amazing wall stickers that we can’t find anywhere else.  We love their Keys, Suitcases, and Birch.  The best part is you can temporarily apply them to your wall, and they make a great fit for any apartment or nonpermanent living space. Also, if you want something a little more portable, all of their graphic pillows and accessories are to die for!

Think it can’t get any better?  If you ever wanted to wallpaper a space by yourself, then you must check out their amazing “How to Wallpaper Video” that breaks down the process so anyone can do it themselves!

Beedus & Jardin

Sometimes the stars align and an interior designer and a real-estate investor’s mindset are combined, creating a mind that is gifted in every aspect of home design and what we see as pure talent.  That is just what happened when the brilliant Reed Woodson was born.  With design and real estate in his blood, passion in his heart, and knowledge in his brain, Woodson began his career in 1997 overhauling apartments in San Francisco and New York City.  During these first five years he bought, designed, and built several amazing homes until he decided in late 2009 to open his own firm called Beedus & Jardin.

Beedus & Jardin is a real-estate firm that offers interior design construction management as well as green consulting services to its clients.  Woodson describes his style as “generally modern organic”.  To quote him, he says, “I love mixing raw materials like glass, brick, concrete, wood, and steel with sleek architectural elements or high-end fixtures.  It’s a delicate mix between the two, but if done properly people will never forget it.”

This style can be seen in two amazing SoHo apartments he has recently worked on that are featured on the Beedus & Jardin website.  Each image is inspiring, and we love the “before” and “after” contrast of each space.  Check out Reed Woodson’s work today and keep Beedus & Jardin in mind when your next design project develops!

Environmentally Friendly Tile

With everyone going “Green” and all the talk about being environmentally friendly, why not go for some recycled glass tiles. Stardust Glass is a company based out of Portland, Oregon that does just that. All of their glass tiles are made out of 87-97% recycled glass-content, and they are produced using eco-friendly processes. Not only do they use recycled products, but they also have an array of amazing colored tiles to top it off. With colors like Lava, Cream Soda, and River Rock, what could be better!

Snuggle Up With The Future Perfect

Winter is finally on its way, and no matter how much we love the summer, we’re hoping for a white Christmas. This week, we’ve rummaged through The Future Perfect, one of our favourite stores in Williamsburg that has just recently opened up a new location in the East Village, and we’ve found a bunch of great stuff to prepare for winter. Check out the Nos Da Throw wool blankets and cushions to snuggle up in and read a book during the snowy season. They also feature a great line of poufs all made out of wool and in different shapes and sizes. We love the Frank, Henry, and Ernest Poufs with their wintery sweater touch. For this holiday season, go out and explore The Future Perfect at their new location for fun and quirky items for your own space or as great gifts!

Project: High Design/Low Budget

Poliform, one of our favorite furniture designers, has a new project and we LOVE it! Introducing ‘My Life in 80M2, a project put together with one goal: create a house with an amazing design, at a reasonable cost, in a minimal space, and with maximal functionality.  And as always, they have pulled it off!

The house features 1 bedroom, 1.5 bathrooms, a living room, a dining area, and a kitchen, on 2 floors, both furnished and outfitted with all Poliform products.

To put it simply, this house is to die for!  But don’t take our word for it, check it out for yourself.
