Woolly Pockets of Green Delight

Have you even wanted to bring the beautiful foliage found in the great outdoors inside but hate buying flowers that die a few days later, or don’t have room for a big tree in your living room?  Well, we have the perfect find for you!  We stumbled upon the Woolly Pocket Garden Company this past weekend while searching for solutions to our lack of green life problem and instantly fell in love with all of their “woolly” products!

Woolly Pockets are soft-sided nests for growing plants.  All of the pockets are handmade in the USA and are made out of recycled plastic bottles.  They’re kind of like a fleece jacket for your favorite plants!

They love to hang on walls and are an easy way to add life and a garden to any horizontal surface in your home.  Because these pockets are modular, they look great on their own and in groups, indoors and out. They are flexible, easy to use, and perfect for creating a full wall of green delights—or just as a decoration on a windowsill or tabletop.

Explore their website and get inspired by their amazing gallery.  Even if you just hang one Woolly Pocket or a whole wall of them, we know you will be delighted every time you walk past this green wall!

Innisfree Garden

Had a stressful week? Need a litte Zen-out time? We suggest a day trip up to Innisfree Garden, one hundred and fifty acres of Chinese-influenced public gardens. Take a long stroll and let the experience of the landscape unfold. A series of cup gardens or natural tableaus lead you past waterfalls, rock formations, streams and terraces. Wind your way back to the hilltop where you started, sit yourself down in an Adirondack chair and bask in your newfound perspective. The garden began to take form in 1938, but it feels like it’s been around for thousands of years – the perfect counterpoint to a New York minute, or work week.
