Project: High Design/Low Budget

Poliform, one of our favorite furniture designers, has a new project and we LOVE it! Introducing ‘My Life in 80M2, a project put together with one goal: create a house with an amazing design, at a reasonable cost, in a minimal space, and with maximal functionality.  And as always, they have pulled it off!

The house features 1 bedroom, 1.5 bathrooms, a living room, a dining area, and a kitchen, on 2 floors, both furnished and outfitted with all Poliform products.

To put it simply, this house is to die for!  But don’t take our word for it, check it out for yourself.

Form and Function

We are always on a search for weekend activities around New York City and some of our favorite museums have great interior design and architecture exhibits going on that we should all check out.

The new and improved Museum of Art and Design or the MAD currently has a great exhibit Totally Rad: Karim Rashid Does Radiators. International known designer Karim Rashid has put together a collection of the most innovative and exciting radiator design. The designs showcased are by Antrax, Caleido, Deltacalor, Gruppo Ragaini, Hellos, Tubes Radiatori, and Runtal. Continue Reading

Get ready for a big art weekend in the city – the Armory Show and Scope are finally in town! It all started on March 5th, however will go through the weekend until March 8th –  and we couldn’t be more delighted! The Armory show is a fine arts fair which will be located at Pier 92 and 94 in NYC, and Scope is presenting at Lincoln Center at 62nd and 10th.

The Armory show is a presentation of galleries exhibiting work from the 20th and 21st century, including abstract, color field, pop and conceptual art. What could be a better source for inspiration? Michael Sanzone

Michael Sanzone

We are feeling very green these days and are excited to introduce an artist who feels the same! The work by Michael Sanzone is currently on view at 532 Gallery, New York. We love that he utilizes only found material and “recycles” mostly wood to create his works of art, which can only be described as mosaic-ike sculptural paintings.

The show called “Scottish Landscape” was inspired by the journey of wood through the process to make casks and barrels.  The artist states ‘I find it important in my new work to collect materials/wood from specific locations, to get to know those locations and the history of the wood that now lies in the finished piece of artwork.” We love! Take a look at 532 Gallery, located at 532 West 25th Street in New York City.
