Colorstrology For All Birthdays

Have you even wondered why you are more attracted to the color blue over red, or purple over orange? Have you walked into a museum and were drawn to the green landscape, where as another person might gravitate towards something that is a more yellow hue? Our new book obsession “Colorstrology” might give you the answers.

Written by astrologer Michele Bernhardt in collaboration with the artists at Pantone this book is a mixture of astrology, numerology, and color theory that helps to shape our views on our lives and the relationship we have in it. With the 366 “birthday colors” it help you to better understand and enhance your life though the colors you are drawn to and even helps you understand why you are drawn to them though your birthday place in the stars.

This interesting book is one that everyone should check out, if not for curiosity of color, then for inspiration and maybe even to understand yourself and the people around you even more.

Don’t have time to grab the book. Check out the great “Colorstrology” website and find your place in the color stars today.

Getting Ziggy For Those Zags

Our latest obsession: Zigzags! Whether it is the traditional 2 colors version or a beautiful tonal experiment we can’t get enough of this pattern.

Lee Jofa: The love for zigzags might have started when we fell in love with the Kelly Wearstler fabric Flair from Lee Jofa. This tone on tone woven cotton fabric is absolutely stunning. We suggest taking an old chair or stool and reupholster it using this fabric, trust us you wont regret it!

SuTurno: The simple repetition of a zigzag line can be elegant and beautiful. We love these amazing pillows by the company SuTurno. Available in a variety of black, white a grey tones they are hard to resist. To see them in person check them out at the new store Haus Interior located on 250 Elizabeth Street in New York City.

Vertigo Rug: A softer version of the traditional zigzag pattern can be found at CB2 with their unbelievably affordable Vertigo Rug by textile and fashion designer Liora Manne. Perfect for adding pattern to a kitchen or sprucing up a neutral living room. Continue Reading
