Nomad your Own Space

Nomad your Own Space

As a kid we all loved building forts out of chairs, pillows, and sheets, but as adults we rarely spend time creating structures of our own.  Luckily, the amazing designers, Jaime Salm and Roger Allen, have created a modular architectural system called Nomad that allows you to assemble your own temporary free-standing structure.  The Nomad system was created out of Jamie and Roger’s desire to produce flexible spaces that can morph any environment into your dream space.  From a partition or a screen to an actual room, anything is possible with Nomad!  Available in a wide range of colors, you can mix and match to add pattern and interest to your new structure.

It’s perfect for turning a studio apartment into more then just one room and for partitions in an office space—or let your childhood dreams come back, and create a adult fort of your own!

New Chic Snail Mail

New Chic Snail Mail

Even though a good old letter through snail mail is becoming less and less frequent, I know we all appreciate a handwritten thank you note, thinking of you card, or love letter.  Why not spiff up your everyday stationery with a collection that combines both home decor and the good old values your grandparents taught you.

Dempsey & Carroll has teamed up with F. Schumacher & Co. to create an amazing new stationery line using Schumacher’s beautiful trellis design.  Each package includes ten silver edged cards and ten envelopes with the trellis pattern lining the inside.  Need to add a personalized touch to your set?  This can be done for an additional cost in a number of different complimentary colors.

Grab a set for yourself and drop a few notes in the mail to the ones you love.  We know they will appreciate the thought and will love the chic card you’re using even more!

Bright Ideas

Bright colors are exciting and eye catching.  Whether it is in our wardrobes or our homes, we love to throw in a hint of color wherever we can.  In hopes for a bright and sunny weekend on this lovely Friday, here are some of our favorite vendors with color!  They have bright ideas for every home.

Gardenhouse – Bring the outdoors inside with any of the products from Gardenhouse, a Palm Beach based furniture store with a passion for color and re-appropriating old finds to make them bright and fabulous!  We love their Vintage Yellow Aluminum Loveseat!

CB2 – We love their Echo Chair in yellow or green.  Priced at $79.95 each, they are great for a spring update of a dining room or office.

Smeg Appliances – Bright and functional, these great 50’s inspired refrigerators, laundry machines, and dishwashers are just plain fabulous!

Berlin – Throw these pillows on a couch or a bed to brighten up any room.

The Land of Nod

Sometimes it is hard to find those perfect pieces for a children’s bedroom or play area, but we have found a great solution, The Land of Nod! The company, launched in 1996, is based out of Northbrook, Illinois, and they carry products (most designed in-house) ranging from furniture, to bedding, to toys, and more. Also, their website breaks down items by personality, so you can fit your child’s personality with the pieces they might like the best. You may even find a piece or two for your own room as some of the pieces are sophisticated enough for any age and will make a great addition for many years to come!
