Glassware for Every Occasion

Ever find yourself having a drink and thinking that your glass could look so much cooler, well we have the solution for you during almost any occasion. Check out the glasses that we found at Design Within Reach. The set is called the Usuhari Stacking Glasses, which consist of 5 stacking glasses. The company has been making glasses since 1958 using techniques used for making light bulbs. And although the glasses look delicate and the name Usuhari means ”this glass”, these puppies can be handled with the same care as ordinary glassware. So you are getting the chic look with the same low maintenance care of your everyday glasses. Also check out DWR’s amazing glassware  tea accessories, including teapots and a tea warmer.

Casual Champagne

Two styles of stemless champagne flutes by Deborah Ehrlich Design. Pirouette stemless champagne glass by Roost. Platinum Berry stemless champagne glass by Roost. Yes, “casual champagne” is an oxymoron, but the warmer months have us craving outdoor brunches and lunches with champagne or even better, Prosecco. I personally love stemless champagne flutes. They reinforce the fact that your wine is only as good as the company you keep.

The main reason wine and champagne glasses have stems is to help maintain the right temperature. If you’re really persnickety you hold your glass by the stem to keep the body heat of your hand away from your beverage. But if you want to be relaxed and casual you can sip from some of our spring selections. Above are two styles by Roost that I’m bringing in to Burlock and another style by Deborah Ehrlich that I absolutely worship, but will not be bringing in at this time. The Ehrlich glasses are crystal, not glass and sell for about $45 each. For glassware by Roost, contact Global Table for a special order. They are located at 107 Sullivan Street, NYC, 212 431 5839.  And for the Deborah Ehrlich glasses visit Takashimaya located at 693 Fifth Avenue, NYC, 212 350 0100.  Love how you live.
