Good prints are sometimes hard to find, but we see no lack of love from The Condé Nast Store. The store offers art prints ranging from magazine covers, reaching back to the early 1900’s, to photographs of some of our favorite people, to limited edition prints from some of our favorite artists. PATCH NYC

West Elm always seems to deliver nice surprises when it comes to home accessories, but this might be the best as of yet! Introducing, PATCH NYC for West Elm. The renowned duo behind PATCH NYC, an amazing home accessories design team consisting of designers John Ross and Don Carney, has collaborated with West Elm to bring us some great pieces of art.

The collection includes pillows, wall art, and ceramic plates made with the most intricate techniques. The framed wall art is created using metallic letterpress, and the pillows are foil printed onto the soft linen. As of now, the collection comprises of a few beyond amazing pieces; in the future we are hoping there will be more!

The Darkroom

Never before has a retail store made us want to jump on the first flight to London—then we came across Darkroom. This amazing concept store is located on Lamb’s Conduit Street and is more then just a retail store for fashion, interior, and lifestyle accessories, as it also features bi-monthly art exhibitions. Their focus is on the connection between fashion and interior spaces. They love to mix scale, medium, color, style, and form to create an interesting contrast and beauty. They fill their store with items for both men and woman showcasing their “personal obsession with primitive art, textiles, and jewelry and presenting them in new contexts.”

If you can’t make it to London to check them out yourself, you must visit their online site. A few of our favorite pieces are their glassware by DMK, the graphic and geometric ceramics by Solomia, and the chunky knit pillows by Darkroom themselves. We are in love with everything they do and know you will be too!

A headboard is a great way to pull a bedroom together, but sometimes we just don’t have enough space, or cash, to get one of our own. It is time to plan ahead! Saturday, March 27th marks the beginning of the 32nd Artexpo New York. Located at Pier 94 along the Hudson River, the event will showcase sculptures, drawings, paintings, and more from over 450 artists from all over the world. In the past, artists like Peter Max and Andy Warhol have graced the walls of the exhibit, and many flock to the expo in hopes of finding the next great artist of our time. Before heading out, make sure to take a look at the exhibitor lists on the website. Also, check out the free iPhone app created exclusively for the event! The application includes a floor plan of the event, exhibitor directory, calendar of events, and more.

One of our favorite places for wallpaper has gotten even better! Here at CH we always love finding new art sources that can help bring artwork into your home at a reasonable price. When we found Eyestorm’s Online Gallery this weekend, we knew we had to share it with you!

Eyestorm is an online gallery of contemporary art from significant artists in the UK. They have a fabulous weekly newsletter that keeps you updated on new art and upcoming events. You can also sign up for your own account called “Mystorm”, which remembers your purchases, what type of art you like, and can help you build your art collection! They even have a “scale assistant” to assist you in visualizing the piece on your wall before you even receive it. It’s like your own personal art deal—how cool is that?

Winter Antiques Show

It is that time again—time for the 56^th Annual Winter Antiques Show held at the Park Avenue Amory! The show runs from January 22^nd to January 31^st and is open daily from 12 to 8 p.m. with the exception of Sundays and Thursdays when the show is open from 12 to 6 p.m. Exhibitors from all over the world come to showcase their pieces and support the East Side House Settlement, which offers a variety of educational and social services to the South Bronx. The best part about the show is that general admission tickets are only $20, including the catalogue. So whether you love antiquing or just want to help out a good cause, come check out the Winter Antiques Show!
