A Home for Every Jewel and Gem

Spring cleaning time is around the corner and, for many of us, this is a time to clear out and organize your wardrobe and accessories.  Along with organizing, it’s also a perfect time to add a little more design flair to your personal space, and one way to do it is through an amazing jewelry stand.  Not only do these items keep you organized, but they also add an element of design and style to your already beautiful piece.

Here are some others we are obsessing over this season:

Gold Knobs – These delicate porcelain knobs from Hygge & West are perfect for hanging necklaces.  Priced at $8 a piece, scatter a few of them on your wall and turn them into both a functional piece and a work of art.

Sea Urchin Boxes – These delicate ceramic boxes from the amazing store, Hudson, in Boston are perfect to hide your special treasures.  Priced from $25 to $35, these are great as a pair or by themselves next to your bed.

Growing Vine Jewelry Stand – Grow a jewelry tree of your own with this great stand from Urban Outfitters.  With branches for your necklaces, rings, and bracelets, this is a great place to store all of your gems.

Lacquer Boxes – These brightly colored, lacquered boxes from Jonathan Adler are great alone or stacked in a group on your vanity.  Use one for each jewelry category—or even to hide makeup.

Stripes for Spring

Stripes for Spring

Stripes remind us of spring—and even our dreams of the approaching summer!  We are counting down the days until we are sitting under a stripped awning, on a stripped lawn chair, in our stripped bathing suit, and drinking some fabulous frozen drink out of a stripped straw.  With stripes in our thoughts and in our dreams, we thought we’d share with you some of our favorites on this lovely Friday!

Stripe Cotton Pillows – These pillows from Be Still are great by themselves or as a pair on a couch, stool, or bed.  Priced at $42, they’re a definite must!

Dash and Albert – Their collection of woven, cotton, striped rugs are some of our favorites!  From black and white to lime green and brown, they have stripes for every color range and space.  They even have fabulous indoor and outdoor rugs that we love for areas that get a lot of foot traffic!

PB Classic Stripe Bedding – This classic bedding reminds us of awning stripes and the freshness of warmer months.  With matching sheets and shams, this bed can be an All-American classic or, for something different, throw in a bright colored sheet set.  Either way you’ll have a fun, new bed that you are excited to jump into every night.

Sag Harbor Stripe Dinner Plates – Whimsical and nautical, these blue and white stripped dinner plates from Kate Spade make us want to eat every meal on something so chic.

Rubie Green Fabric

Rubie Green Fabric

We have a love for everything Michelle Adams does—from her smashing online magazine, Lonny, to her blog, M.A. Belle, to her first products at Rubie Green! While searching through her Rubie Green site this weekend, we noticed that her amazing fabric she used to create beautiful organic bedding is now available by the yard as upholstery fabric!

This fabric uses only 100% certified organic cotton and is printed in the US with only water-based, non-toxic inks. It’s available in a wide range of patterns that we love, such as her classic East Village and Habibi patterns and her new Marilyn, Patsy, and Portobello patterns just to name a few. We can’t wait to use some of this fabric to make over an outdated chair or create a few eye-catching pillows or even a headboard!

Her fabrics are all so fabulous, and everything she touches is a success, we know that her newest products will be a big hit as well!

Snow Day

It’s a snow day here in NYC, so in celebration we wanted to share with you a few of our winter inspired pieces.

Birch Bark Cups – We love these handmade Porcelain Birch Bark Cups by Bobed Farm. They are great delicate cups, measuring about 8.5″ tall and 2″ wide, and are food safe.  Use them on a winter themed table scape or even to place a single lily.

Wolli Snow Mountain Toy Box – I know that when I was a kid, I would have jumped with joy if I had my own Snow Mountain Toy Box!  This great hand made piece by Babies Breath brings the outdoors inside.  Priced at $175, this is perfect for any winter baby.

West Elm Poufs – Just looking at these poufs made me wish for snow.  They’re great to sit on with a cup of cocoa and watch the flakes gently fall.  Priced from $199 to $349, grab one for a single seat or a collection of these great poufs for a winter inspired bohemian seating area.

Star Burst Low Ball Glasses – Haus Interior is a little winter haven, and these great snow inspired etched low ball glasses make us want to cozy up at home and pour ourselves a nice cocktail at the end of a snowy day.  Priced at $165 for a set of two, these glasses are a must!
