It is that time of year again when some of us are either heading back to school, know someone who is going back to school, or even have kids who are on there way back. Here are some great pieces and deals that we have scoped out for just this occasion, and maybe for some others.
One great solution for that oh so infamous storage problem is the Expedit Bookcase shelf system from IKEA. It is a simple cube bookcase, but the added inserts make it much more. One insert turns a single cube into a cabinet and the second insert has two draws, which can come in handy if more clothing storage is needed.
To fill that empty floor space, we found some good rug deals at CB2. Whether you need to fill a smaller or a bigger space, you can find something at a good price. One of our favorites is the ‘Domino Rug’. They also have some great throw pillows and other accessories to add a little more spice to the room, like the ‘Grid Pillow’ or the ‘Script Desk Lamp’.
To liven up the room with some more decorative accessories, we headed over to Urban Outfitters. One great idea we found was the ‘Plywood’ or ‘Wooden Alphabet’ wall letters. These would go great over a bed or a desk to claim your stake. Also check out the ‘Double Wire Basket’ for supplies like pens, scissors, and post-its, some of their cute bedding and throws, or their curtains to add a more home-like feel.
