We are absolutely in love with the lanterns at Casamidy. Founded in 1998 by Anne-Marie Midy and Jorge Almada, the Mexico-based design studio has a strong emphasis on material, form and artisan traditions. Functional and decorative, their candlelit lanterns are the perfect find for the summer.
Casamidy took the most traditional form of lighting and has given it a modern and sleek makeover. The result is a collection of lanterns that are simple, unique and gorgeous. Whether sitting poolside or on the patio, they are the perfect accessory for the outdoors. Just add a pillar candle and voilà, instant ambiance! You don’t even have to own a backyard to use these, either. Something so simple and timeless can spice up a fire escape (for you city dwellers), a dining room table or even the foot of a fireplace.
