Bright Colors

----- April 29th, 2009 -----

Adding color to a space can be a challenge, especially if you’re hesitant to move ahead with paint.  But we think the best approach to jazzing up a lackluster room is to accent it with a few carefully selected bright and bold pieces. Here’s what we’re talking about:

The Script Desk Lamp, which we discovered at CB2 — an amazing resource for just these kinds of fun odds and ends. This classic pharmacy style desk lamp, with its bright orange lacquer finish, will definitely add some punch to the plain. Plus, it’s built on a swivel that allows you to direct the light any which way. CB2 also brought us the City Slicker Table, a high-gloss yellow beauty that can be used as a side table, as intended, or even as a night stand or stool.  It will look amazing in any application!

The Conran Shop is another great one-stop shop for bright pieces and fabulous design.  It is here that we found the Uten.Silo 1 wall organizer. This puppy can hold all of your little knick-knacks and is great for a small bathroom with little room for storage. Conran is also home to the Hook-Up Wall Hook, a simple but eye-catching hook that can hold keys, coats, mail…go wild! This is a cheap ($4.50 apiece!) and practical way to add some pop to your place…and the best part: it comes in three colors, pink, blue, and orange. Pick yours up today!
