We are here to expose the mystery of reupholstery! Having your old sofa reupholstered by a professional is not as expensive as you think it is – often as low as $400 per piece. Just take a photo of the piece you are interested in redesigning, along with general measurements and send it to the upholsterers in your area. Make sure to push for the price you feel comfortable with or suggest they throw in a few throw pillows with their offer.  Reupholstering your furniture can be much cheaper then buying a new one, but this is based on your fabric selection – often the greatest expense in the process.

We have selected 6 great fabric deals from Pottery Barn and Ikea which are extremely inexpensive but will give your home a new, fresh look. All are between $6 – $15 a yard, far below industry standard. And never feel stuck with solids, it just takes one amazing pattern to become the center piece of the entire room. So whether it is a chair, ottoman, a few pillows, new window treatments or your old sofa – buy a few yards for your upcoming project and get started!
