Need to add interest to your living room, or spice up a closet? An easy way to add pattern, color and excitement to any space is to cover the walls with beautiful wallpaper. Companies today are coming out with fabulous traditional patterns as well as innovative and graphic modern styles. We love the products from Walnut Wallpaper. They have a great selection to choose from and a fabulous gallery to help inspire you to update any room.

Before you place your order for wallpaper the most important thing you need to do is buy enough to finish the entire job without re-ordering. Most wallpaper differs between dye lots and you want to order enough paper in the beginning to ensure everything will match.
Here are five easy steps to follow to determine how much paper you will need to order to cover the area you want.

  1. Draw a diagram of the area you want to wallpaper.
  2. Measure the length of the walls. Add the length of the walls together to calculate the perimeter of the area. As you measure, note your measurements on your diagram.
  3. Measure the height of the walls.
  4. Multiply the height of the walls by the perimeter to calculate the square footage.
  5. Divide the square footage of your area by 25 to estimate the number of rolls of wallpaper you will need. A single roll of wallpaper covers about 25 square feet.

Follow our tips and you will be on your way to an extraordinary new room just in time for spring!
