The End of History

End of History 2
----- April 28th, 2008 -----

Since 1997, Stephen Saunder’s The End of History houses one of the world’s largest collections of mid-century glassware and ceramics. Upon entering the space, visitors are greeted with a stunning collection of American, Italian and Scandinavian ceramic and glass pieces that are grouped together according to color and form rather than by country of origin.

Displayed appropriately as decorative pieces of fine art rather than as vessels made for domestic use, each piece boasts free-flowing organic shapes and vibrant colors only made possible by traditional glazing techniques. Stephen’s strong commitment to the importation and selection of 1950’s to 1960’s ceramics should be celebrated with a personal visit to his store located at 548 Hudson St., NYC; (212) 647-7598.
